The Aereus Versatile

The Versatile was envisioned as a series of models that encapsulated requests that we have repeatedly received. Shoes that could easily transition from a semi-formal office environment and segue to an informal setting. Comfort and flexibility was paramount.

Offering a FULLY Handwelted construction, these shoes offer unrivalled flexibility due to our specially constructed leather insole. The reverse baby calf suede used is of the same quality as found in the Argentum line, however we have selected slightly thicker skins for the Versatile series. The denser and plusher nap to the suede lends itself to the the purpose of the series. The sole stitching has been protected from the elements by burying them inside a 2mm deep incision in the pure rubber sole. The lasts of these shoes have been chosen for their comfort and yet retaining a classic shape: the Argentum Soft Square last and the Classic Round AA90 last as used in the original Argentum Tribune 1.

Compared to their more formal counterparts in the Argentum Line, the styling has been slightly finessed to harmonise better with the leather and intended purpose, such as the slightly larger broguing and the machine stitched split toe.

The Aereus Versatile is offered in four models: A 5 Eyelet derby, A Captoe derby, A Captoe Oxford, and A Split toe Loafer.
